You’re wearing what?

We all are guilty of getting a fashion fine at some stage of our lives. You know, that one trend that you wish you never followed…but did [and probably burned the photos afterwards]. And now you’re most likely afraid of making that same mistake. Well MyBFF’s, whether you are a fashion diva or don’t care about fashion at all, just remember that the rest of the world can see you. So make sure that you look in the mirror before you leave home and that you’re not guilty of breaking the following laws:

Leggings are not pants

Or else they would’ve been called pants? All they do is contribute to the embarrassing moments of a C.T, Butt crack or VPL (and keep in mind that photos do exist).

The famous socks with sandals

Unless you are an athlete at an athletic game, you never, I repeat never wear socks with sandals! And I stress this point because I have broken this rule one too many times…haven’t we all?

Accessory madness

Less is more…and chocolate is the only exception.

Slippers in public

Time to wake up sister…unless you’re cinderella and your slipper is made out of glass, you have no excuse.

High-waisted pants

aka The drooping butt syndrome. Now this trend looks absolutely fab from the front…and then you turn around. Let’s just say, keep this trend to skirts only ladies.

The Spice Girls wedge

I call this trend the Spice Girls wedge, because I remember discovering it when I got my first pair of Spice Girls sneakers (we all had those). Point is, not even Kim Kardashian can make this shoe look sexy! So please don’t try this at home…

Peeka boo…I see [almost all of] you

Kimora Lee Simmons states this perfectly: Less skin = more power. Now you don’t have to dress like granny, but wearing a belt as a skirt and a serviette as a shirt is a BIG no no. Leave some things to the imagination, it’s the only way guys will respect you.

O the Knee-high socks days

I am ashamed to admit that I followed this trend…in all colours and patterns. I was the knee-high socks Guru and therefore you can learn from the expert: Never follow this trend! Because your mom won’t allow you to burn these photos and you still have to survive your 21st.

VPL (Visible Panty Line)

Taking any girl from hot to NOT…especially when this panty line is caused by a bloomer!
